Welcome to FileVeda.com ("FileVeda", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing, browsing, or using our website, utilities, format converters, and peer-to-peer file transfer services, you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all provisions contained herein, you must immediately discontinue using our services.

1. Nature of Service & In-Browser Execution

FileVeda operates as an offline-first, client-side digital utility platform. All document conversions, PDF manipulations (merging, compression, signing, splitting), and image processing execute locally within your device’s web browser memory utilizing WebAssembly, HTML5 Canvas, and Web Workers.

File transfers are conducted via direct peer-to-peer (P2P) WebRTC connections between participating devices. FileVeda does not operate centralized cloud file-hosting servers, does not maintain copies of your file payloads, and cannot access, review, or decrypt your personal files during or after processing.

2. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership

You retain 100% ownership and copyright of all files, documents, photographs, and data processed or transmitted through FileVeda. FileVeda claims no ownership, license, or proprietary rights over user content.

You represent and warrant that you own or possess the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to process, convert, or share any file submitted through the platform, and that doing so does not infringe upon any third-party copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or privacy right.

3. Prohibited & Unlawful Activities

You agree to use FileVeda strictly for lawful purposes. You shall not utilize our services to:

• Transmit, distribute, or propagate computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, ransomware, or malicious code.
• Share or process unlawful material, child exploitation material, hate speech, or content promoting violence.
• Infringe upon intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of any individual or entity.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt our web infrastructure or signaling servers.
• Automate abusive traffic, DDoS attacks, or programmatic scraping that impacts service availability for other users.

4. DMCA & Copyright Infringement Policy

Because FileVeda operates as a client-side utility and peer-to-peer signaling service without storing user files on servers, we do not host or archive user content. However, we respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

If you believe any content or link on FileVeda infringes your copyright, please submit a written notification with your contact information, the copyrighted work identified, and statement of good faith to: [email protected].

5. Third-Party Advertising & External Links

FileVeda displays third-party advertisements served by partners such as Google AdSense. These third-party vendors may use cookies (including DART cookies) to serve ads based on user visits to this and other websites.

We do not endorse, sponsor, or assume responsibility for any third-party products, services, or websites advertised or linked to from FileVeda. Your interactions with third-party advertisers are solely between you and the respective third party.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.

FILEVEDA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR UTILITIES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY ARBITRARY OR CORRUPTED FILE ENCODING.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILEVEDA, ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, HARDWARE MALFUNCTION, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FileVeda and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the services.

9. Modifications & Governing Law

We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Your continued use of FileVeda after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of FileVeda shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
